Sorry, haven't done a Cr-apps post in a while. With the 3.0 update, there were so many good apps to look at that the Cr-apps were pushed to the side. The following weekend was my sixteenth wedding anniversary, so no blogging that day. But we return this week with a few really crappy Cr-apps.

Twice As Hot
Ordinarily, I don't include screenshots in the Cr-apps posts, but I will make an exception today. Twice as Hot is so incredibly lame that I thought you wouldn't believe me if I just told you. According to its App Store description, you enter in the current temperature and Twice as Hot will tell you, that's right, how hot it would be if it were twice as hot. Now you would think that an app that multiplies any number by two would definitely qualify as a Cr-app, but this app must figure in wind chills and heat indexes or something because... well just check out the screens and see what I mean:

The really scary thing is that this app was created by a high school senior who plans to attend Georgia Tech. Let's hope that they can teach him some math before they let him be an engineer.

Wow! What a horrible game. Play as a hard-hatted beauty standing in the back of a pickup truck shooting bricks out of the air with your trusty caulk gun? A little research into the developer uncovered that they make their living by producing games that advertise a product - in this case Gripfill caulk. I'm sure that the Cr-apps have not seen the last of Four Door Ltd.

iFart with Timer
Ifart gives users a big red button to press. When they do, they get a fart noise as a reward. This app provides a delay timer, although this function does not seem to work with the 3.0 firmware. I will delete and re-install to see if that fixes it. I will let you know what I find in the comments.

Fuzzy Head
This is the classic metal shavings on a picture of a bald man to give him hair/a mustache/ a beard/ all three toy. It works very clumsily, though. Trying to get the density of the hair right was a lot easier using a magnetic pen versus a fingertip. You do get several faces to choose from, though.

Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs Scrat's Skate Park
This app lets you play as Scrat or Sid and skateboard on a halfpipe of ice collecting acorns or dinosaur eggs. Just like they did in the real ice age! Maybe if there were actual tricks to perform it would have held my attention for more than five seconds!

iKitt
This app actually has some potential. In portrait mode, press one of eight buttons to get a message from Kitt, the car from 80's series Knight Rider. In landscape mode, the app uses the GPS in the iPhone to give you mph or km/h, direction, and altitude. I don't have the phone, so I don't know how well this works. It would be really cool if iKitt commented on your driving if you speed, accelerate or brake too fast. Thanatist doesn't take themselves too seriously, though. As their website says, "Thanatist Software. Putting the Crapp back in App."

iSpork
Now this is the very definition of a Cr-app. iSpork lets you move a virtual spork across pictures of different food like a taco salad, fried chicken and mashed potatoes, chinese takeout, and pizza!(?!?WTF?) If you haven't dropped your iDevice out of sheer excitement yet, hold on tight. iSpork also lets you read a history of the spork, a spork FAQ which tells you, "When using a spork to eat mashed patatoes out of a styrofoam container, it is common courtesy to leave a little 'spork waste' at the bottom rather than scrape the styrofoam to get every last morsel. If you must have every little bit of potato, please use your finger"
In addition to that little jewel, you get a couple of spork song lyrics and a section of spork myths.

Handshake Spectacular
Handshake Spectacular is supposed to tell you how good your handshake is. Upon shaking my iPod furiously, I got the folowing readings: nothing, not even a handshake, insane shake, little ok shake, and great shake. All without varying my shake at all.
